Delivered Fresh or Frozen?
Wherever possible we prefer to supply our meat frozen: there are several reasons for this. Freezing at the point of cutting preserves the freshness and flavour - especially in pork and beef, both meats tend to lose fluids quickly when cut thus draining taste and tenderness, instant freezing prevents this . Freezing is also the best preservative - no E-numbers required, just freezing at -30C to seal in the goodness - naturally. And it is a mith that frozen food of this quality tastes different to fresh - but do thaw it out properly before hand e.g. for a joint let it thaw out slowly in fridge overnight.
Payment can be made by cheque or credit card - Cheques should be made payable to Hampers (Devon) Ltd, our legal entity run by the same three directors.
Delivery Charges
VAT at 17.5% will be applied to delivery charges.
Local Delivery - no charge
Local delivery is defined as being within the whole of the South Hams and
the area between Exeter, Torquay & Plymouth. Orders are delivered locally
within 24 hours or by arrangement.

Orders for despatch by overnight courier are normally dispatched on the first Thursday following the date of receipt of your order. Our national deliveries are made by courier and are designed to arrive between 1pm & 5pm the day after despatch. Please call us immediately if your parcel fails to arrive by the due time. Our packs are designed to keep your meat in good condition for up to 48 hours, but it is best to open and refrigerate your order , or put it in your freezer, immediately on receipt and preferably within 24 hours, especially in hot weather.
